Leisure in Tournus

All along the year, you can enjoy many various things such as:

the Hôtel-Dieu - Musée Greuze, museum of hospital life, history and art
the town cinema "La Palette"
the footpaths and hiking trails or the cycle and mountain bike paths in the forest, along the river Saône or among the vineyards
the outdoor swimming pool
the musical and theatre shows, dancing tea and dinners, balls, lottos, bowl and pétanque contests (the bowl, that's the "lyonnaise" - from Lyon , more athletic than the pétanque), rugby, football, handball... matches proposed by the town activities service or by several associations
the fun fairs on July 14th and for the Saint Philibert (3^rd Sunday of August)
the European Days of Historic Monuments on the 3^rd Saturday and Sunday of September
the Spring show of the Amateur Artists Association of Tournus ("3AT")
the Antique dealers show usually about 10 days by the end of April or in the early days of May
the organised ramble (also open to horse riders and mountain bikers), "Tournuscimes" that gathers about 4,000 people each third Sunday of October
